welcome to my website! i made this stuff myself.

i like music.

i like to listen to all kinds of music.

i like to play instruments.

i like science.

i am studying cell biology in college, but am interested in all kinds of science.

i have previously worked in a lab that was studying the mechanism of the effect of neuronal metabolism on excitability, with the goal of discovering molecular targets for epilepsy treatments.

i am currently working at a chemistry lab developing a method to break down dioxane in groundwater in situ. hydroxyl radicals, generated from hydrogen peroxide reacting with the surface of manganese dioxide nanoparticles, attack and break down the dioxane.

i like making stuff.

i like to sew, both by hand and by machine. i like to knit and crochet.

i like birding.

my favorite part of birding is to listen to the songbirds.

my favorite bird songs are...

• the mouring dove's hoot
• the carolina wren's 2-toned song

i find wood ducks, baltimore orioles, and mouring doves to be some of the most beautiful birds.

the following is a list of the most annoying birds and an explanation of why i find them annoying.

• blue jays have offensive calls, and their blue color tricks you into thinking you're looking at something interesting until you realize you're looking at a plain old blue jay.
• i have the same grievances with red-winged blackbirds as i do with blue jays.
• canadian geese are too aggressive.

i like cycling.

i have a 90s rock hopper mountian bike, but i am really interested in getting a single speed road bike. i'm proud that as of April 7th, 2026, i have somehow resisted the fixie disease, and have not purchased a fixed gear bike...
